Civilization of Tuberians that existed peacefully for hundreds of years met an unknown powerful force. This force destroys all forms of life in its way. At first Tuberians took it for a rebelled army of evil Hallak system that was defeated many thousands years ago. As it turned out the peaceful Tuberians were mistaken? It was a new kind of violent power.

This new menace was first noticed in the system of Solanaris. One of the planets that used to be inhabited by civilians was completely erased, no living creatures survived. The planet was turned into a military base with only military droids, called Solanars. Their self-reproduction capability and their endless chain of solar batteries made the Solanars invincible.

Not much is known about Solanars? They possess the most advanced technologies of the present, the fastest spaceships and the most powerful weapons. The droids are extremely swift in battle, shrewd and alert.

All attempts at negotiating with Solanars failed. When they meet living creatures the only command they follow is: Total Extermination. Their other aims are unknown.

At this stage the only thing left is protection of living planets from destruction of Solanars by all means. For this aim on the main planet of Tuberian system, TuberiA, a special subdivision was created. The subdivision is called Tubers. Their goal is to protect planets from Solanars' invasion.
